What is My Powerful Birth educator training?
My Powerful Birth is a comprehensive training pathway for individuals passionate about guiding families through the transformative journey of pregnancy and birth. The program includes foundational professional training + educator training.
who is the training designed for?
Our training is ideal for allied health professionals such as doulas, counselors, RMTs, naturopaths, and anyone committed to supporting parents during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Whether you’re looking to expand your practice or start a new chapter, this program is for you.
Do I have to complete all three steps?
No, each step is valuable on its own. Many professionals take the professional class or educator training to deepen their skills and enhance their existing practice. However, licensing is required to teach My Powerful Birth classes exclusively, and step 1 + 2 need to be complete before becoming licensed to teach group prenatal classes. What will I learn in the 6-week Educators Training?
The Educators Training focuses on developing the skills to facilitate My Powerful Birth classes confidently. You’ll learn teaching techniques, how to engage diverse audiences, and how to create a safe, inclusive space for parents.
Can I take the Educators Training without licensing?
Absolutely. The Educators Training equips you with valuable facilitation skills and tools you can apply in various settings, even if you don’t choose to license.
What does licensing include?
Licensing grants you exclusive rights to teach My Powerful Birth classes in your area. It also includes access to ongoing curriculum updates, monthly education and brainstorming sessions, marketing support, and a professional network of educators.
Can I start teaching My Powerful Birth classes without licensing?
No, exclusive teaching rights are reserved for licensed educators. Licensing ensures that you are fully supported and recognized as an official My Powerful Birth educator.
How long does a license last, and can I renew it?
Licenses are valid for two years and can be renewed. Renewal includes continued access to all exclusive benefits.
What is the time commitment for the training?
The professional class is a two-day intensive, and the Educators Training is a six-week online program with weekly sessions and assignments. Licensing includes ongoing monthly sessions for support and professional development.
Do I need any prior experience to join the training?
While no prior teaching experience is required, participants should have a background or interest in supporting families during pregnancy, birth, or postpartum.
Is this training online or in person?
The professional class is held both in person and online, while the Educators Training is conducted online to accommodate participants from across North America.
How much does the program cost?
